Abilene, KS (June 5, 2025) – On Wednesday evening, June 5, a two-vehicle crash with reported injuries occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 56 and 300 Avenue in Dickinson County. The accident happened around 6:00 p.m. when a southbound vehicle attempted a U-turn and was struck by another vehicle also traveling south. One individual was transported to the hospital with injuries.
According to Kansas Highway Patrol reports, a 2020 Jeep Gladiator driven by 62-year-old Robin Hardman of Bogue attempted to make a U-turn to head northbound on U56. As she maneuvered into the turning lane, her vehicle was struck by a 2011 Hyundai Sonata driven by 19-year-old Ernesto Saenz Flores of Wichita. Saenz Flores sustained suspected minor injuries and was transported to Salina Regional Health Center. Hardman and her passenger, 18-year-old Santos Moriarty of Enid, Oklahoma, were not injured. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and both vehicles were towed. The incident led to temporary traffic disruption in the area. An investigation is ongoing.
