Weather-Related Accidents in Kansas
Losing control of a vehicle is a common factor in crashes, especially during adverse weather conditions. According to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), nearly 21% of vehicle crashes each year are weather-related, often due to rain, snow, or ice affecting road traction. Slippery roads can cause drivers to lose control, leading to severe accidents. It is crucial for drivers to slow down, increase their following distance, and be extra cautious in poor driving conditions.
