Oakley, KS (April 7, 2024) – On Saturday, April 6, there were reported injuries after a multi-vehicle crash in the Oakley area. The accident was reported on US-83 near Interstate 70 that afternoon around 3:30 p.m. Local reports revealed that three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Local reports revealed that a 2004 Ford F350 driven by 34-year-old Beau B. Radovich of Lakewood, CO, was traveling northbound when it rear-ended a 2023 Honda Odyssey driven by 45-year-old Sunad Rangarajan of Denver, CO. The Honda was reportedly stopped on the roadway due to impaired visibility caused by a dust storm. The impact caused the Oydssey to rotate left.
The Honda was then hit by an oncoming 2004 Straight Truck driven by 58-year-old Grace A. Hansen of Sioux Falls, SD. Two passengers were later rushed to Citizen’s Medical Center for treatment of sustained injuries. The injured parties were later identified as 74-year-old Honda Ramaswami Rangarajan and 74-year-old Vani Rangarajan, both from Denver. No other injuries were reported in the crash. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
Our thoughts are with Ramaswami Rangarajan, Vani Rangarajan, and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
