Low-Altitude Flying Near Roadways
While rare, accidents involving aircraft and motor vehicles can occur, especially near rural roads where private airstrips may be located. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) warns that low-altitude flying and agricultural aviation operations must adhere to strict safety protocols, especially near populated or trafficked areas. When aircraft take off or land too close to public roads, the risk of collisions with vehicles increases dramatically. These incidents highlight the importance of clear communication and adherence to flight safety regulations to avoid dangerous situations for both pilots and drivers.
