Kansas City, KS (April 30, 2024) – There were multiple injuries reported after a pileup crash in the Kansas City area on Monday, April 29. The accident was reported on Interstate 35 SB near Lamar Avenue that night around 9:26 p.m. Local reports revealed that three vehicles were headed southbound when a 2006 Pontiac driven by 46-year-old Hardress J. Hartman of Olathe crashed into the rear of a 2016 Toyota driven by 25-year-old Kaytlin A. Bishop of De Soto.
The impact caused the Toyota to hit the rear of a 2013 Honda SUV driven by a 15-year-old Olathe resident. Hartman was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment, and Bishop was transported to KU Medical Center by hospital. The driver of the Honda and their passenger, 42-year-old Debra-Kay Diehm of Olathe, were also hurt and hospitalized for treatment. No updates on the accident are currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
