Overland Park, KS (March 28, 2024) – There were reported injuries after a pileup crash in the Overland Park area on Wednesday, March 27. The collision was reported at around 4:08 p.m. on Interstate 35 NB near 151st Street. Local reports indicated that a 2013 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 41-year-old Raymond Norris of Gardner was traveling northbound in lane one.
As traffic slowed on the interstate, the Ford veered and sideswiped a 2009 Ford Edge driven by 35-year-old Adam D. Baumgarden of Garden City, MO before rear-ending a 2016 Mazda CX5 driven by 55-year-old Sharise E. Vaughn of Raytown, MO. The impact caused the Mada to rear-end a 2013 Subaru Legacy driven by 39-year-old Ashley R. Fraker of Olathe. Vaughn was injured and transported to Overland Park Regional Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
