Salina, KS (March 9, 2024) – Early on Friday morning, March 8, three people were hurt after a two-car accident in the Salina area. The accident occurred on Old Highway 81 near Farrelly Road at around 8 a.m. Local sources indicated that a Dodge Ram 1500 pickup was traveling northbound on the highway when the driver failed to yield while making a left-hand turn.
The truck hit a Toyota Camry passenger car. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched in order to render aid to the involved parties. The 17-year-old Marquette resident driving the Dodge was transported by ambulance to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of sustained injuries.
The 16-year-old Salina resident driving the Camry and his passenger, a 17-year-old, were also hospitalized. At this time, no updates on the conditions of the injured parties have been provided. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in the hands of local authorities.
