South Hutchinson, KS - Two Hurt in Stop Sign Crash at US-50 & K-14

South Hutchinson, KS (May 12, 2024) – There were confirmed injuries after a two-vehicle collision in the area of South Hutchinson on Saturday, May 11. The incident took place at the intersection of US-50 and K-14 early that morning around 9:05 a.m. Emergency crews were quickly dispatched to provide the necessary aid. 

Local reports indicated that 46-year-old Nicholas Robert Crockett of South Hutchinson was traveling southbound on K-14 in a 2022 GMC Sierra at the time of the crash. It was then that a 2013 Toyota Tacoma driven by 81-year-old Eddie E. Pinkley of Kingman failed to yield at a stop sign, and the two vehicles collided. Both Pinkley and his passenger, 80-year-old Jerry A. Pinkley also from Kingman, were transported to Hutch Regional Medical Center by ambulance for the treatment of sustained injuries. No additional information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
