Topeka, KS (April 21, 2024) – There were multiple injuries reported after a car accident in the Topeka area on Saturday, April 20. The crash was reported on Interstate 70 EB near the exit for Fairlawn Road that afternoon around 1:19 p.m. There was reported traffic on the interstate due to ongoing construction on US-75 at the time of the crash.
It was reported that 67-year-old John Allan Gregor of Duluth, MN, was traveling east in a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban when he looked down at this phone for directions. As a result, Gregor rear-ended a 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by 47-year-old Ner Tomas Lorenzo Manabat of Topeka. House of Topeka, which in turn hit a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by 61-year-old Vicki L. Wahquahboshkuk of Mayetta, which in turn hit a 2015 Audi Q7 driven by 53-year-old Kyle D. Kesller of Topeka, which in turn hit a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria driven by 63-year-old Terry Dayle of Ozawkie.
A total of three drivers were injured in the crash. Manabat, House, and Wahquahboshkuk were all transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for the treatment of sustained injuries. No other information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is in progress.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their full recovery.
