Garden City, KS (March 24, 2024) – On Friday, March 22, a pedestrian suffered serious injuries after a traffic accident in the Garden City area. The accident occurred at the corner of N. Taylor Avenue and W. Kansas Avenue late that night at around 9:20 p.m. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene after being notified of a pedestrian-vehicle accident.
Local sources indicated that a 39-year-old man was crossing the street on foot when he was hit by an oncoming car driven by a 79-year-old driver. The driver told responding officials that he did not see the pedestrian leading up to the accident. The injured party was airlifted to a hospital in Wichita in critical condition.
