Kansas City, KS - Driver Hurt in Two-Vehicle Collision on I-70

Kansas City, KS (April 21, 2024) – On Saturday, April 20, there were confirmed injuries after a collision in the Kansas City area. The accident was reported on Interstate 70 EB that afternoon around 12:53 p.m. Local reports revealed that two vehicles were traveling eastbound at the time of the crash. 

It was reported that a 2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 driven by 38-year-old Franklin Morris of Phoenix, AZ, was headed east at the same time as a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by 84-year-old Dominic Messina of Independence, MO. The two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene to render aid. Messina was reportedly hurt in the crash and provided aid by attending paramedics. No additional information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
