Kansas City, KS (May 11, 2024) – On Friday, May 10, two people were hurt after a car accident in the Kansas City area. The accident took place at the intersection of US-73 and Donahoo Road that afternoon around 12:28 p.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
Local reports revealed that a 2017 Toyota Camry driven by 21-year-old Riyan Trevor Ribandi of Martinsburg, PA was traveling westbound on Donahoo approaching the intersection. At the same time, 63-year-old Timothy A. Hachinski of Kansas City was traveling southbound on US-73 in a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. Ribandi reportedly failed to yield to Hachinski and crashed into the driver’s side front and rear doors. Ribandi was transported by ambulance to the Kansas University Medical Center for treatment. Hachinski was also hurt and provided aid at the scene by attending medical personnel. No further information on the incident is available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
