Abilene, KS - Three Hurt in Rear-end Crash at K-15 & Buckeye Ave

Abilene, KS (May 11, 2024) – On Friday, May 10, three people were injured after a rear-end collision in the Abilene area. The incident was reported on K-15 near Buckeye Avenue that afternoon around 12:53 p.m. Local reports revealed that two vehicles were traveling southbound at the time of the crash. 

26-year-old Weston Scott Grant of Longford was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup slowing to make a turn when he was rear-ended by a 2020 Chevy Silverado truck operated by 35-year-old Brandon Alan Bruggman of Abilene. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. Grant and his passenger, 44-year-old Steven Ray Marston of Abilene, were transported to Abilene Memorial Hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries. Bruggman was also hurt and treated at the scene. No further information on the incident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
