Intersection-Related Crashes in Kansas
Intersection crashes are among the most common and dangerous types of roadway accidents. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) reports that about 40% of all crashes in the United States occur at intersections, often due to drivers failing to yield, running stop signs, or misjudging another vehicle’s speed. These accidents frequently lead to serious injuries or fatalities because vehicles typically collide at perpendicular angles, increasing the risk of severe impact. Drivers are urged to remain cautious, slow down, and ensure intersections are completely clear before proceeding.
