Hoisington, KS (August 7, 2024) – A rollover crash in the Hoisington area on Monday, August 5, left three people injured. The collision occurred at the intersection of 90 Road and US-281 early that morning around 7:30 a.m. Emergency crews were rushed to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties.
When officials arrived, they found a vehicle overturned with an occupant pinned inside, and two other cars had significant damage. It was later revealed that the driver of a white Pontiac G6 had stopped to make a left turn onto 90 Road, and a gray Honda Accord was stopped behind the Pontiac. It was then that a white Chevrolet Tahoe hit the rear of the Honda before becoming airborne. The Tahoe landed in front of the G6 as it was making the turn. The driver of the Chevy was pinned inside and had to be extricated by responding emergency crews. All three drivers were transported to Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington for treatment. No further information on the crash is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
