Lawrence, KS (March 4, 2024) – On Sunday night, March 3, a passenger was injured following a collision in the Lawrence area. The accident was reported at the intersection of E. 1625 Road and N. 1550 Road late that night at around 8:40 p.m. Local reports indicated that a 2012 Cadillac SRX was traveling northbound when the driver failed to navigate a curve on the roadway.
The vehicle left the road where it hit a delineator post. The Cadillac vaulted before coming to a stop in a nearby culvert. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries.
The injured party was later identified as 18-year-old Montana B. Eteeyan of Mayetta. The driver of the car, later identified as 18-year-old Lily L. Arnold of Topeka, was not hurt in the crash. Another passenger was reportedly uninjured. No further updates have been provided at this time. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
