Lineberry began to slow on the roadway due to impaired visibility caused by blowing dust. The Ford was hit from behind by a 2012 Toyota Highlander driven by 79-year-old William R. Thomas, was transferred by ambulance to Ellsworth County Medical Center. The driver of the Escape suffered serious injuries and was transported to Salina Regional Medical Center.
