Wichita, KS (April 22, 2024) – Three people were injured following a crash in the Wichita area on Sunday, April 21. The accident was reported at the Interstate 235 and K-96 interchange early that morning around 12:30 a.m. It was reported that a Buick sport utility vehicle was driving in the wrong direction onto the ramp for Interstate 235.
The Buick crashed head-on with a Chrysler passenger vehicle. Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide aid to the involved parties. A total of three people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital. One of the victims was listed in critical condition. The ramp was temporarily closed while emergency responders were present. No additional information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
