Kansas City, KS (June 10, 2024) – A driver was hurt after a two-vehicle collision in the Kansas City area on Sunday, June 9. The accident was reported on Interstate 70 EB, near mile marker 419.2 late that night, around 6:35 p.m. Local reports indicated that a 2012 Nissan Altima and a 2011 Ford Fusion were headed eastbound at the time of the crash.

The Altima was traveling behind the Fusion, which was driven by 34-year-old Ire Kane of Kansas City. For unknown reasons, the Nissan collided with the rear of the Ford. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene. Kane was treated at the scene by attending medical personnel. It is unknown if anyone else involved in the collision was hurt. No further information on the accident is currently available. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the collision is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
