Kansas City, KS (March 19, 2024) – Two people were injured after a two-vehicle crash in the Kansas City area on Monday, March 18. The accident was reported early that morning at around 6:10 a.m. on Interstate 70 WB near Interstate 435. Local reports revealed that a 2022 Dodge Charger driven by Vanessa Lupian Moreno of Charlotte, NC was traveling westbound on the interstate at the time of the crash.
At the same time, a 2022 Great Dane operated by 61-year-old Grant Carroll Dorsey of Greenwood, MO was on the ramp from I-435 to I-70. The Dodge crashed into the side of the trailer. The Charger came to a rest in the far lane of the highway. Moreno and her passenger, 28-year-old Ezrah Adams also of Charlotte, were transported to Providence Hospital for treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries were reported in the accident. An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is being managed by local law enforcement officials.
