Overland Park, KS (July 23, 2025) – On Wednesday, July 23, a two-vehicle collision occurred around 5:10 p.m. on U.S. Highway 69 Southbound near mile marker 136.6, just north of West 167th Street in Johnson County. The crash involved an Audi Q8 and a Toyota Camry. One individual sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, both vehicles were traveling southbound on U.S. Highway 69 when traffic slowed ahead. The driver of the Toyota Camry, identified as 44-year-old Justin Russell of Louisburg, had stopped for traffic when his vehicle was struck from behind by the Audi Q8, driven by 40-year-old Mayssar El Mansi of Overland Park. A passenger in the Camry, 50-year-old Jamie Russell, was taken to Advent Health with suspected minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and reported no apparent injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene, and the crash temporarily disrupted traffic in the area. The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
