Kansas City, KS (June 7, 2025) – On Saturday afternoon, June 7, a multi-vehicle crash resulted in multiple injuries on I-635 Northbound near milepost 3.9, approximately 0.3 miles north of K-32 in Wyandotte County. The collision occurred around 12:20 p.m. and involved eight vehicles. At least two individuals sustained suspected minor injuries in the incident.
According to authorities, the crash began when a 2011 GMC Sierra traveling in the number two lane lost control and struck a 2011 Acura TL. The impact caused a chain reaction involving six additional vehicles: a Toyota 4Runner, a Volkswagen Jetta, a Nissan Altima, a Toyota Tacoma, a Kia Sorento, and a Toyota RAV4. Emergency crews responded promptly, with at least two drivers—Anthony Rubio Rosales of Kansas City, KS, and Alexis Spaulding of Kansas City, MO—transported to KU Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Several vehicles were towed from the scene, and traffic on I-635 was temporarily disrupted. The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash, and updates may be provided as more information becomes available.
